Event Summary

The community weekend is not facilitated in the usual HAI way, but rather we have invited knowledgeable folks from the community to come and present their self created workshops. Do you want to learn how to paint? Perhaps you love yoga or tai chi. Is there something that you would present to help people really know you: "if you really knew me...you would know..." Our presenters will all be here to share their knowledge and skills.

HAI is adding a mandatory $45 surcharge to in-person weekend events to cover COVID testing and other COVID related expenses until they are no longer necessary.

HAI is committed to the safety of its participants, volunteers and employees. You will be asked to provide a negative COVID test 2-4 days before the event in addition to testing onsite at registration.

Recently separated, in a committed relationship but looking to connect with others within safe boundaries
Songbird, Amazon Faerie Queen, Team Member
Father, grandfather, partner, music store owner, Hai Ontario Team member, Hai Ontario Global Board Vice Chair, HAI Global Board acting Treasurer, HAI Canada Board acting Chair.
Through my participation in HAI workshops and involvement in the HAI community, I have discovered a way of connecting with myself and others that is unguarded, authentic, respectful and loving. I have truly become comfortable in my own skin and more loving in my relationships. There have been many different personal growth paths for that I have pursued and found useful, but HAI is the only one that has been both a path and a destination. HAI has become my home and chosen family.

Event Details

Many people have come to know HAI as a great place to take workshops on Love, Intimacy and Sexuality. But underlying those workshops is the community of over 50,000 people who have taken HAI workshops over the past 50 years.

In the Great Lakes Region, we are creating an opportunity for the folks in the HAI community to come together, play, interact, share their own passions and just enjoy the company of people.

And the facilities at Camp Kintail are second to none: We have had people from across North America travel to experience HAI hospitality in its most wonderful form.

Event Policy

COVID ATTENDANCE POLICY

HAI Global is committed to the safety of its participants, volunteers and employees. Please refer to our COVID-19 Attendance Policy prior to registration.

HAI will continue to require all participants and staff to take a COVID test 2-4 days prior to the workshop and send proof of a negative result to us in advance of the event. You may use an antigen test, however, HAI highly recommends the more accurate PCR test. We also ask that you take extra precautions to avoid becoming infected (e.g., distancing, masking when in crowds) for the week prior to your workshop.

You will need to take an COVID test, (HAI provides) upon arrival at the workshop site, before your registration is complete.

Not passing the on-site COVID test, running a fever (99.5°F/37.5°C or more), exhibiting other symptoms of infectious illness (e.g., sore throat, swollen glands, sneezing, coughing, fatigue, rash, malaise), and/or not signing the waiver will result in disallowment from the event. If upon entering the event you find yourself sick or cannot produce the appropriate documents, you will be asked to leave. In either case, your registration fees will be rolled to a future workshop.

Because of the protocols we require to enter a workshop, we are not requiring masks nor social distancing during a weekend workshop.  We will have masks available on-site by request.

Carpooling: As much as HAI typically encourages carpooling, for now, we are asking people to drive separately if at all possible. Be aware that if anyone in the carpool tests positive then everyone in the carpool will be refused admission to the workshop and will need to reschedule.

HAI is adding a mandatory $45 surcharge to in-person weekend workshops to cover COVID-related expenses.

CANCELLATION POLICY

To cancel/transfer your registration, TELEPHONE—do not email—your regional HAI business office 647-393-9013 .

We understand that forces out of your control and ours may happen. We ask that you give us as much advance notice as possible if you need to postpone or transfer a workshop date or offering. Once you are confirmed in a workshop, your payment is non-refundable. If you need to postpone, HAI has a myriad of workshops both in an in-person setting as well as a growing number of online offerings where you may transfer all or part of your deposit or workshop fee according to the following schedule:

  • 15 days or more prior to the workshop, 15% postponement fee
  • 8-14 days before a workshop date, 30% postponement fee
  • 7 days until the workshop starts, 50% postponement fee
  • Once the workshop starts, 100% fee (no refunds)

Postponement fee is a percentage of full workshop price at time of purchase and is based on the first date of a multiple event purchase.

REFUND POLICY

If a credit balance remains after fees are deducted, you have 1 year to use the credit by attending another online or in-person HAI workshop.

Once you start a workshop we ask that you stay for the entire time. We also realize that emergencies or illnesses may take place where you have to leave. Please contact a team member or facilitator if you need to leave.

After 1 year, all payments and/or credits expire and are non-refundable.

DISABILITY ACCESS POLICY

If you need an accommodation to attend a HAI event, contact your local HAI Office at least ten (10) days before the event and inform them of the nature of the disability and your needs. In the case of events held in private homes, additional time may be required.  See our Ontarians with Disability Act and Non-Discrimination Policy for Canada for more information.

Trained Service Animals as defined by the Ontarians with Disability Act are always welcome. Service Animals, such as Guide Dogs/Seizure Dogs/Hearing Dogs are trained to perform specific tasks and are working animals, not pets. Pets, Therapy Dogs and Emotional Support Dogs, specifically, are not Service Animals and are not allowed at HAI events.
