Event Summary

Are you willing to let go? Are you willing to surrender? Are you willing to be surprised? Are you able to trust?

And!

Are you willing to take charge? Are you willing to control? Are you willing to ask for what you want? Are you able to trust?

Be prepared for a weekend you cannot fully prepare for. Exploring surrender and control suggests being willing to step out of how you usually are, and try on something new. Whether you’re the consummate control freak (Type A anyone?), or habitually go with the flow, “whatever…”. Take this opportunity to dance your edges.

HAI is adding a mandatory $45 surcharge to in-person weekend workshops to cover COVID testing and other COVID related expenses until they are no longer necessary.

HAI Global is committed to the safety of its participants, volunteers and employees. You will be asked to provide a negative COVID test 2-4 days before the workshop in addition to testing onsite at registration.

Felicia Williams Cosey

I've been facilitating HAI workshops for over 20 years - hard to imagine so much time has gone by! But, I'm doing what I love, one workshop, group, and individual heart at a time. My favorite color is purple. I love to cook, and my apple pie is internationally renowned - a family secret recipe passed down through generations. I'm the very proud mother of two beautiful grown children, four beautiful grandchildren through my godson in Detroit and two sons from my husband Tyrone. My joy in life is in helping people step out of pain and fear and into excitement and joy, in relationships and life-work. I consider myself a "transformation midwife" - and I love bringing all of me to support change and growth!

Peter Rengel

Peter Rengel, M.A., is a “Heart Meditation” Teacher and a Spiritual Counselor who specializes in assisting individuals and couples to experience more love in their lives. He works with people to transcend psychology in order to live in harmony with Life’s spiritual rhythm. Peter began facilitating the Love, Intimacy & Sexuality workshops at the Human Awareness Institute in 1989 and retired in January, 2022. He continues to see people in his private practice. Peter is the author of three heart-opening books, Seeds of Light, Living Life in Love, and My 11 Enlightening Days with Sri Mooji. He also leads his own meditation retreats, workshops, and classes – “Spiritual Awakening,” “Yes!”  ”Living Life in Love,” and “Opening to Intimacy” (a couple's class taught with his wife, Donna, who he has been with since 1985).  His greatest spiritual teacher has been his son, Kavi.
 
Event Details

Sometimes we don’t want to look—we don’t want to see those fragments of ourselves that control and those parts that capitulate under pressure. Sometimes we don’t want to see how others see us. What if the tension between control and surrender began to feel like the authentic tango of life? What if we surrendered to our sometimes impulse to control, and controlled our sometimes ache to surrender?

What if we closed our eyes and let the inner knowing of our body lead? What if we really saw ourselves the way others see us? What if we could fall to our knees and kiss the feet of the beauty of being human?

CANCELLATION POLICY

To cancel/transfer your registration, TELEPHONE—do not email—your regional HAI business office. 

Once you are confirmed in a full-weekend workshop, your deposit is NON-REFUNDABLE, and is TRANSFERABLE for a fee.

  • $50 fee for changes made 1 WEEK OR MORE before your workshop
  • $200 for changes made LESS THAN 1 WEEK before your workshop
  • After the workshop begins, all monies paid are FORFEITED.
