Event Summary

Into me you see—into me I see—until I accept and embrace my wholeness there will be a missing piece in my connection with another. To be radical in our world is often perceived as out of sync—as pushing against the status quo.

What if radical meant “no holds barred, nothing in the way—completely honest and as revealed as we can be in this moment.” Radical—willing to be seen for who we are, not prettied up or polished but rather unkempt, loud, messy and uncomfortable with others and maybe most importantly, with ourselves.

Are you willing to be truly intimate? What do you hold back? What do you not allow others to see? And how do we create another, deeper, more radical layer of intimacy?

HAI is adding a mandatory $45 surcharge to in-person weekend workshops to cover COVID testing and other COVID related expenses until they are no longer necessary.

HAI Global is committed to the safety of its participants, volunteers and employees. You will be asked to provide a negative COVID test 2-4 days before the workshop in addition to testing onsite at registration.

Event Team

Facilitators

Donna Spitzer Rengel brings clarity, compassion and insight to the workshops she facilitates. Donna’s background is in somatics and movement arts, as a holistic Lomi Body/Mind practitioner. Her expertise in communications assists individuals and couples to create healthy, loving relationships. She is passionate about her most current venture, her workshop for Women on Expression, Movement and Connection. When Donna met Peter Rengel in 1985, she found the partner with whom she would happily explore love, communication and service for this lifetime. Together they became involved with the Human Awareness Institute (HAI), and a few years later Donna joined her husband on staff as a facilitator of the Love, Intimacy & Sexuality workshops. She has over twenty years leading workshops with The Human Awareness Institute. Donna is the proud mother of a grown son, Kavi.
Jason Weston has been a part of the Human Awareness Institute community for more than 40 years. As a facilitator, Jason assists individuals and couples in creating for themselves the lives they really want by guiding them to see and express their own beauty, power and love. Jason was trained at the Process Therapy Institute and holds a degree in philosophy from the University of California, Berkeley. Jason is passionate about creating a world in which all people have their needs met, and nature is allowed to thrive. Jason lives with his life partner, Marci Graham, in a remote area of California, abundant with wildlife and beauty. Their commitment to telling “all the truth, all the time” is a cornerstone of their relationship.

Event Details

True intimacy allows another to see inside. To do this, you must start with being radically intimate with your Self. What do you know about you, and what remains a mystery about you, even to yourself?

Let’s take intimacy far beyond where we have been before. What are the places that have been hiding within me, perhaps below the surface? What have I been unwilling to see, or to share?

  • Practice fearless transparency

  • Heal your deepest shame

  • Reveal your innermost, truest self

  • Rediscover your beauty

  • Celebrate sexual intimacy

When we step fully into self revelation and a willingness to be seen—we are intimate. We are real. We are ready to take on and transform anything unlike love. We are intimate with ourselves and the world. We are radical.

“There were moments when I felt more deeply connected to myself, my friends, the room of love and the planet than I ever have before.” ~C.A.

“Allowing myself to embrace and accept all of me, and realizing that my friends saw me more beautifully and magnificently than I saw myself was life-changing.” ~G.A.
